Progress Update 01/14/2023
Business as usual this week, as we make steady progress on the advancement of Thrive. Notable achievements are the implementation of controller support for tab navigation, some new chilly sounds from our dedicated sound team, and new progress on the multiplayer prototype.
Programming
New DevBuild for our patrons:
Added new auto-evo exploring tool features (exporting data, running multiple worlds in a row + others)
Much more of the game GUI is now usable with a controller or the keyboard
Implemented controller navigation of tabbed GUI interfaces
Fixed a bug where left and right keys didn't work for GUI focus control
GUI button focus visuals where they look bad should now be fixed
Added controller button icons from Xelu
Highlighted git submodule importance in our setup instructions
Updated translations
The evolutionary tree is now in the game when playing freebuild
The multiplayer prototype developed by KasterisK has reached a reportedly functional state, and now awaits connection testing between players. Let us know how it goes for you if you decide to try it out yourself!
