Today is our last Progress Update before the release of Thrive 1.0 on the 17th of December, and with it the functional completion of the Microbe Stage.

Of course, there will still be updates on the Microbe Stage, especially when it comes to fixing issues and balancing. The biggest news this week is Thrive version 0.9.2! We're hopeful that this version is a lot more stable on release than 0.9.1 was, but we still did not have a beta period, unlike our typical updates. Please report any issues you find!

Last week we released 0.9.1! It was… somewhat less stable than we had hoped. In particular, the new cell division effect had a physics problem that caused frequent crashes. The first part of this week was dedicated to fixing this and a number of other bugs, with bugfix release 0.9.1.1 being released on Wednesday.

Highlights include a new array of patch events, a newly overhauled MP calculation system and a new intro cutscene when you choose a panspermia start. Quite a lot of noticeable progress this week! Several new patch events were added to mix up compound levels across many patches at a time. Auto-evo now recognises upgrades to toxin organelles, making Thrive significantly more toxic. Thermosynthesis now produces glucose to make it significantly less frustrating to use (This slipped into the patch notes a bit too early before).

Just last week we released Thrive version 0.9 including our new terrain system, and a significant amount of work this week went into post-patch support. Patch version 0.9.0.1 was published this Tuesday, fixing several bugs in the new saving system and a few exploits that allowed infinite MP in the editor.
