Progress Update 12/12/2020
Another Build of the day is available. This time it features key bindings which now can be changed to whatever configuration you want! We also fixed some issues and bugs related to the UI.
Last week we showed a new concept about a new mechanic that would allow species to propagate further in the patch map. Today we have a full explanation of said concept, so go check it out!

Progress Update 12/5/2020
More work on translations. We added support for fallback fonts, in other words, languages that use other alphabets like Chinese or Hebrew are now supported.
We implemented graphs for the Patch Report, they don't react to the environmental changes yet, but at least the UI portion is done. We also have a concept for a new species propagation mechanic, in which very prolific species can spread further that others. We'll talk more about this concept in future updates.

Progress Update 11/28/2020
We fleshed out binding agents a bit more during this week. We now have rules for when binding cells collide, which cell should be the one leading the colony (Either the player cell or the cell in binding mode) , and how this rules apply to colonies.
We also have a draft of rules for when we form a non-profit association to finance the game and work on translations continues.

We are working on translations! This week we added a new translation system into the game and we are accepting community translations, so if you want to help us translate the game, you can register here. We released a dev-build for patrons featuring this system, translations can be accessed via the options menu.

We made a change to cell walls. Now they don't allow engulfing, which is to be expected since they are hard rigid structures that cover cells completely. We added this change to a new dev Build so, if you support us on Patreon, you can try it and tell us what you think about this new feature.
In addition to that, we also made some changes to saving and kept discussing about protein unlocking and how binding agents would work.

Progress Update 10/24/2020
Binding agents are being discussed. We are figuring out how would they work and their appearance. Once that's dealt with we can start our journey towards the Multicellular stage!
And since that stage is going to be in 3D we may need cells to have three dimensions so the transition is smoother. This is just a concept, and it's not the first time we talked about this. We'll see how this develops in the coming weeks.

Time to discuss the future of Thrive again. As you know, we had the 0.5.2 release last week and as always we discussed what is going to be included in the next release.
