Progress Update 8/02/2025
A decent amount of progress has been made this week, with a good amount of progress on achievements and the implementation of the first settings related to planet customization. Though customization options for the planet generator are somewhat limited - partially due to it being a first implementation, and partially related to the simpler nature of the microscopic world map - players will be able to alter compound spawning, biome distribution, and more with current settings. Planet customization options will be expanded as more complex world generation is developed for future stages.
On achievements, most of the back-end code has been handled, and a currently lonesome achievement has found itself in our game. Achievements will also likely be expanded upon iteratively as development of the microscopic stages continues, but the first release should already have a good selection of goals to pursue. Though an achievement sound may take a while to be created, work has started on concepts for the achievement icon.
