Progress Update 06/03/2023
Much of the development hours this week were dedicated to work on our devcenter, an important utility used by our developers to archive assets and handle supporter access to our weekly devbuilds, among many other things. While the progress might not be visible, it's an important step in streamlining the further development of Thrive.
Clarification: the main focus of development has moved to performance related microbe stage code refactoring. All DevCenter work this week has been ent…

This week we have seen the prototype stages to their very conclusion with the introduction of the ascension stage, a post-game stage that grants the player god-like power over the galaxy. At this point the player will be able to do as they please, and eventually choose to return to the very beginning and start anew.
With the prototypes complete, development will return focus to the microbe stage, undoubtedly with a new vigor as we look on to the future we have set before us.
Progress Update 05/20/2023

Take your species further than ever before with the newly optimized cellular stages that will smoothly take you sailing into our latest advancements in the prototype stages! No longer are the creatures of Thrive strictly confined to the underwater realm, as now they can move onto the frontiers of land, where civilization will soon be born.

This week we've begun discussing quite a few things behind the scenes; Optimization of the particle system for our new 3D backgrounds, musings on where to start with the 3D editor, improving the statistics panel to be more informative and context sensitives, and much more.
Despite that, we unfortunately don't have much that we can visually represent this week.

Progress Update 04/01/2023
This week we've gotten a lot of work done on our visual aspects of the game, with lots of brand new icons, models, and more just waiting for implementation. Our membrane system especially has received a long awaited revamp, removing visual seams and making all membranes look prim and proper.
Our prototypes continue to expand, now reaching into the distance societal stages where the player will no longer be in control of a single organism. It is in these stages where the game shifts …
